đ§ The most important lesson about mindset
That which we can be, we must be
Your mindset is the lens in which you see the world.
So, the clarity of your mindset is going to affect how you see and ultimately move through the world.
So to move faster in the direction you want to goâŚ
You have to be clear where youâre going,
and even how to get there.
The clearer your mindset is, the more clearly you'll triangulate your targets, avoid obstacles, and move directly towards your goals.
So the first step in improving your mindset, is to figure out what your mindset should be.
After getting crystal clear on what it is that you actually want, you need to refine your mindset:
By learning.

REFINING YOUR MINDSET
One book in particular that was transformative for my mindset was Meditations
by Marcus Aurelius.
This book was the personal journal of the emperor of the known world as he
wrestled with all the same questions we still wrestle with hundreds of years
later:
what's the meaning of life
what's it mean to live a good life
who am I
why do I matter
In Marcus Aureliusâ Meditations, we find him telling us a extremely important message:
He tells us that the less we ride the highs and lows of life, the less weâll ultimately suffer.
So what this means for us, is that we shouldnât care too much about the nuances, or the noise on the journey of our ups and downs.

He urges us to keep note that nothing of this all matters.
What heâs trying to tell us is that even if we slump to the lowest of our lows, we shouldnât be all sorrow about it.
One of the things he brings to point in this book is actually the fact that:
You control the way you want to be happy.
So none of this all mattersâŚ
But yet, at the same time, it matters the most.
See, one of the recurring themes of stoicism is that life's short and we're all gonna die, and because of that, every moment is precious and so you've got to make the most of it.
After all, weâre no more than the result of our tiny decisions we make everyday.
Focus in on performing in the moment because in the end, this moment and what you do with it is all that matters.
So yes, it does matter.
But no, it doesnât really matter all that much.
On the same topic of mindset,
My good friend, Emotional Intelligence Coach Todd Payne, created a handy guide called â5 Steps To Break Free When You Feel Stuck" that helps you achieve a more balanced and fulfilling personal life. Learn crucial advice like how to approach life's ups and downs with resilience and positivity.

FOCUS ON THE CONTROLLABLE THINGS
This is something that everyone can absolutely benefit from, and something that everyone can absolutely get better at.
Itâs not uncommon to find yourself in the middle of complaining about something you canât even control.
Some things in life are just plain stupid, and you canât help that.

Other times, you might not be complaining about how you just hit your head on a door, lost your wallet, got fired from your job and complaining how bad your speech was , but the people around you who are.
Thereâs not much escaping this fundamentally ephemeral thing.
But you can rid yourself of it.
Instead of being the victim, focus on the things that will make you the hero.

Whatâs in the past is definitely in the past, but the little monster might come back to biteâŚ
So instead of crying, get a flamethrower so you can kill the thing instead.
Focus on the things you can actually control.
Thatâs the only control you actually have on your life.
ONE MORE THING
As they say, You can have anything in life but not everything.
So figure out what you want, whatâs it cost, and pay that price and donât look back.
Park the ego at the door and keep moving forward.
No matter what anyone says, if you really want to buy the life that you want, then this is the price you have to pay.
Iâd like to end the newsletter with one of my favourite quotes:
Impatient with action, patient with results
